Mixing granules processing systems

Granulation is the process of collecting particles together by creating bonds between them. Mixing of granules is a very important part of production. The products which come in form of granules have to be mixed and granulated uniformly. Similarly, in the tablet process, it is important that all ingredients be dry, powdered, and of uniform grain size as much as possible. The main guideline in manufacture is to ensure that the appropriate amount of active ingredient is equal in each tablet so ingredients should be well-mixed. Compressed tablets are exerted to great pressure in order to compact the material. But prior to compression, the ingredients must be granulated.

Granules processing systems

A key process performed by producers of homogeneous mixtures is granulation. In solid processes, various individual products of different density and concentration and in different amounts are often admixed to form a homogeneous mixture. Of the three basic techniques used to prepare powders for granulation, direct Compression method is used when a group of ingredients can be blended to make a product without any of the ingredients having to be changed. Whereas, wet granulation is a process of using a liquid binder or adhesive to the power mixture. And, dry Granulation process is used when the product needed to be granulated may be sensitive to moisture and heat.
